In the driving seat!
I want my centre console shiny gloss black. I have stripped off all the rubber as per the how to guide and then given it 2 coats of primer. I then sprayed it with a can of gloss black but it dried matt black. I tried another coat but same thing. I bought another can of gloss black of a different make and again it dried matt black. Is it too cold or what am doing wrong? Help please \:mad\:

What exactly are you painting it with? Are you sure its gloss black out the can and its not supposed to be lacquered?

It says gloss black on the tin. I will try lacquering it and see what happens! Cheers

Isn't it due to moisture in the air or something like that?

I'll try the lacquer but I think it may be the moisture!

trust me its way to cold this time of year unless you have somewhere warm and dry to use like a heated garage.

you will be able to watch it go flat as it dries.
you really need about 20 degrees.
you could heat your garage yourself but watch out for naked flames and spray cans dont agree with each other \:s

if i was you i would wait till spring

It's peeing down at the moment and I think spring is a more likely time. I will just have to curb my impatience
