Well, the coupe is gone. Totalled it last night. Hit a kerb on a corner coming home last night, i braked, back spun out and I ended up hitting a car coming in the opposite direction.

I know it was my fault, I am in shock and glad to have walked away with only a broken collar bone.

People in the other car were ok from what I can tell. Police are coming round today.

On the bright side you are okay, well apart from the broken bits, and cars can be replaced.

dont think there is an undamaged part of the car on the exterior. i will get some pics when i see it tomorrow.

most of the damage was on the passengers side, though the drivers side will also be damaged as well as it hit some armco that stopped me falling off the bridge onto the a120.

insurance (fully comp, tax and mot are all up to date so dont have to worry about that and when we drove past it last night they had a temporary sign warning of a slippery road.

What a shame mate. Hopefully everything will go "reasonably" smooth from now on. U planning on getting another one?

i will see, maybe. maybe not. I will see how I feel in a few weeks time. cant drive for at least four weeks so no hurry and god knows what my insurance quote will be for a new one.

Both airbags deployed as well. glad i was in a coupe and a not a fiesta though.

So was the road slippery BECAUSE of your accident, or was it already slippery and your accident has prompted someone to stop a second accident happening?

If its the later, you potentially have a claim against the highways agency

thanks people, the sign was not up because of my crash as the accident occurred (ended up at least) on the opposite side of the road, sign was up because the road was slippery i guess.
