Well, it a shame to see some of the forums well known members selling up and moving on (all the best btw) but its throwing up some real bargins in the for sale section....
Which gives me a dilemma - do I keep my current coupe and slowly improve it as I have been doing (when things wear out they get upgraded) or do I take advantage of the fact I could sell it and buy a considerably quicker, more modified coupe for a bargin price??
Mine's a sprint blue 20vt on a 98 S plate. I bought it in Jan 2001 with 20k on the clock - its now done 83k, has been 100% reliable and maintained by specilists the whole time I've had it.
Cosmetically, its excellent (I am the most anal person I know when it comes to choosing a parking space!) other than small dent to the front lip of the bonnet (not very noticible but could only be fixed with a new bonnet), slight melting by the exhaust and rust bubble over nearside rear lights - no parking dings at all, not one!
Engine is standard except for Forge Dv006 (replacing jaded Bosch) but in last two years has had new oil cooler and pipes, manifold, radiator, thermostat, injector and its got a Widget (excellent bit of kit - I would keep it)
Suspension and brakes have been upgraded as follows (all about 1 year old): Front strut brace Nigel custom lower strut brace (made a difference with the other mods) Eibach springs and Bilsteins (3cm lower) Whiteline rear ARB Red Dot 20 groove discs and fast road pads (excellent and no squeal)
Also had all the wishbones, top mounts etc replaced a year ago so it feels really tight
Handling wise, I'm happy, it corners well, but still has acceptable ride quality - this important as its my daily driver
However, I also want 300-350bhp and lots of torque - I'm going to need FMIC, chip, mapping, Greddy, GT28R, adaptor, 3 inch downpipe, race cat, SIP, headwork etc
Some colour coded side skirts and a 360 bumper would be nice...
That lot's will to set me back quite a bit and it will be tricky for me to find the time to get it all fitted and the car set up correctly, hence my dilemma.....what do you think??

Yeah, that it was Phil's advert that got me thinking (althought it isnt 'low mileage' )

I agree with Jimbo, are you nuts!!, it's sound like a very good one. Keep it and work the power/mods as you have been doing. Now it's time to tidy up the body, and get it up to your standards I'd love to get JimO's old car, but mine runs so well, I'm very happy to keep it
