Hi,

just wondering what fuse you are using with this mod for the power cable, I think 15a is the norm but would 20a cause problems?
The reason I ask is I have been supplied with a kit but it has come with a maxi fuse holder on the power cable (as the normal fuse holders had run out) and maxi fuses only seem to start at 20a.

Cheers
John

I think the relay I used is 40 amp.

I'd guess that basically you want to make sure that the fuse is rated lower than the cable as that's what it's there to protect.

Thanks mattB, I was told by the supplier to use a 15a fuse but like I say I can not find a 15a maxi fuse the lowest rating I have seen is 20a!
Guess I might have to change the fuse holder if im not sure or can't get a definate answer which is a PITA as I paid for a complete kit and shouldn't have to (i'm obviously not a brain when it comes to electrics).

Cheers
John

20A will be fine. If it is going to short it is going to short and blow the fuse
