I gave up in the end trying to find the problem, after replacing the aux tensioner and aircon pump So took it to Paul at Motormech this morning.

Phone call 2 hours later, its fixed, you know what it was? The power steering belt! Paul replaced it FOC which is much appreciated, so top marks to Motormech again. He seems to think there is an issue with the belt so took it off, and I assume he'll send it back, its only been on the car 8 months!

Need to get front discs and pads done, and rear brake pipes. Need to sort the tracking now as the inner edges of both my front tyres are bald frown

Ben

(Finally able to drive it again)

Ben mate, the rear brake pipes, are you sure it isn't just surface rust? Because I was told I needed new rear brake pipes and when I took it to a specialist he sanded the rust off and underneath were brand spanking new looking brake pipes.

I have the same issues with ALL of my tyres where the inner walls are a tad worn, not sure what rubber to stick on her though.

What tyres are you going with mate?

What size wheels do you have? I have just put Vredestein Sessanta's on my TT and have to say they have been very very good! They arent a well known name in the UK yet, but big everywhere else, and used on the likes of AMG's and Corvettes etc...

They come in 18" minimum I think... and have an interesting tread pattern wink Not cheap, work out at £111 fitted each at Tyreman... but worth the money I'd say.
