last few jobs finished this morning, replaced fluid and bled brakes.very pleased with result but almost feels like an anticlimax after almost 6 months solid work.
jobs undertaken:-
new wishbones
new discs and pads all round
leather interior
new radiator grill
new wheels and tyres
repairs to electrics
replacment engine with all new belts
refurbished subframe
all paint machine cut and polished
new boot seal
new bonnet cable
new under tray
full set of chrome rings, lights clocks etc
new pininfarina door plates
and much more stuff,it would take all night to list everything.
the car is totally standard apart from wheels, however i did change all fastners to stainless.it probabley took 1 month longer than it should due to rusted fastners!
thanks to all who helped along the way,you really know your stuff.
i put a link to photobucket for anyone who maybe interested, see what you think.i'm really quite pleased cool

started out with triumphs and m.gs,only bought the coop after owning an alfa 147 cool
thought it would be nice to get a sportscar with a bit of performance evil the old m.gs are nice but not very powerful.they are of course much much easier to work on.when i first bought the coop it was very scary looking, all those electrics etc shocked but once youre familier with them its not so bad.forum users are always at hand and willing to help/advise whenever they can and have come to my rescue lots of times tongue

Well now I'm totally depressed - mine's a 2001 model and it looks nowhere near as clean and tidy as that. love

thanks MABR
think the photos make it look better than it really is tbh.
when i got the car it had obviousley been neglected somewhat
and this was never meant to be a nut and bolt concourse resto'.
the bodywork still has the usual dents and dings as well as rust forming on the reaer arches.pictures always seem to flatter.i will of course be continuing with my quest to improve and restore, but the main thing is to drive and enjoy smile
