Sunny Pembrokeshire!!!
Hi all,
I have been toying with the idea of an induction kit but dont like the fact I may loose some lower end torque etc. So would a K and N panel filter do any good? Ideally I am just looking for some slight increase in power, but more so a little more sound/noise from the car. I have NO interest in an s/s exhaust though. Any suggestions please?

Don't believe the hype, K&N panel filters do not give you any more power.

You will change the sound from the standard airbox though. Once described by Scoobie as like having Darth Vader sucking on a straw while drinking a carton of juice.

Spot on description of the sound above, if you wanna come to the dark side... when I put my K+N in it gave a nice lil 'flutter' when I backed off the acceleration.

Re the oil based question. Yep they are, but i'm 90% sure that K&N wouldn;t make Panel filters for Cars with MAF's if the oil would transfer to the MAF sensor.

I've bought the correct kit and washed it and re oil'd it twice now with no prob's. The oil they provide is really weird as well, doesn;t look or feel like normal oil and sprays on out of the bottle.
