Right I have just received a phone call saying that my car has been hit by a white van rolling own the road.
He has smashed into my car via the bonnet having left the handbrake off.
They guy has the nerve to say to my flat mates that he thinks the whole thing is a setup.
Advice please cause I am about to get on a train and murder him

OK, so how can you have set it up to roll his van down the road into your car?

We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

That was my thoughts.
He works for a company that owns two houses up from me that are flats.
He has clearly left his van with no handbrake and it has just rolled down the road from the other side!

Time for police involvement: imagine if a kiddie had been in the road? Tried that they are not interested as no one was hurt. Welcome to Northamptonshires finest. here is the picture

Just make sure you get all insurance details, etc. You can use an accident management company, rather than your own insurance to pursue the claim. (They're generally more thorough and faster at getting the money from the 3rd Party insurance, and it's in their interest to do this, as this is how they make their money). I know, I've used accident management companies in the past, with BurntMill Coachworks, who did my respray. Two reasons: I, like you, didn't want the hassle of the claim itself, so left that to the accident management company to pursue, and I didn't want the car to be written off in a relatively minor impact. Your damage looks, on the face of it, minor. Although that type of dent will need some work. If you need more details on dealing with your claim through the method I recommend, and have used, send us a PM.

Don't get me wrong, its bad,but could of been a lot worse I can second that - look at the good points: Sh!t happens It's only one panel Its not red or yellow which are hard to match for a repair You will get it paid for by his insurance company You didn’t prang it yourself You can still drive the car You have CCTV as evidence if he disputes it - what more could you ask for!
Coupe now sold!

Time for police involvement: imagine if a kiddie had been in the road? Tried that they are not interested as no one was hurt. Welcome to Northamptonshires finest. here is the picture Does this not count as a hit and run or failure to stop at the scene of an accident? Or is the van driver admitting that it happened just not willing to pay for the damage? Would of thought the police would have had to take notice one way or the other? Hope you get it sorted
Ex 20VT - now something far more sensible'ish...

Not sure where to start now. Well I am but not with the repair just causing more damage His position was he parked up and thats the end of it. Though my flatmate caught site inside the cab and saw the handbrake was off To be honest I expect nothing more from the Police, total waste of time Nothamptonshire's are. Completely not interested.

Either he didn't put the handbrake on or it failed - both of which need to be investigated by the police as there are possible offences. If he doesn't provide insurance details report him for failing to exchange details at the scene of an accident and make sure you get his VRM
