Hi,

I'm off to view a lovely looking 20V Turbo at the weekend that's done around 60k miles. Been told on the phone that it's had an engine re-build (including new cambelt) at 30k miles which involved transferring parts from the old engine into a reconditioned block. The garage don't know what the reason was for the re-build. Should I be worried about this or could this actually be a bonus?

I have also have been told its a good idea to get a compression test done. Does anyone know what the required range/results from this test should be for the 20V Turbo?

Cheers,

Andy

id definately get a compression test done along with the reguar checks on the engine; oil leaks, smoking turbo, smooth clutch general drive etc and if they all check out ok you wont go far wrong
