I won't have word said against Carl. Having stood in his workshop and seen him toil over my Coop for a full day (plus the hours I didn't see), I don't think anyone was more committed to the cause. If he's turned-away because of the attitude of some, it is indeed very sad...

Well I have a very good idea why. There is (allegedly) a mods forum which we dont see, one of the other mods was passing back info on what was being said about him. Pretty much what was being said in his signature.

I saw a post directed at mod who is probably one of the most helpful people on here. I would put two and two together and say the two were linked.

As for him being the greatest thing since sliced bread, well I personally dont think so. He is the *only* person on this forum that I have ever had problems with.

No because he was running a business. I have a friend with a courier franchise, he doesnt deliver parcels out of the goodness of his heart, he does it to put food on the table



A money lover? No a business owner, if you were in the business of fixing a certain type of car, wouldnt you visit the forum based upon that particular car, does that not make perfect business sense? Carl spotted an oppertunity and used it, it just so happened I think he got fed up of Coupes and decided to move on.

Hear hear SB! Glad I'm not the only non carlt worshipper on here. Not saying anything about the guy personally and I'm sure he has helped a lot of people out with parts etc but he was a bit too aggressive with his opinions and if you didn't agree with him he pretty much called you a t**t which is not why I want to be part of this forum

Fist, let me assure you there are no practical issues at the moment. There has been a negotiation and healthy proposition towards Carlt around sponsoring of the Forum (after he suggested this himself) when it became clear that someone from the moderators has provided information to him that was only accessible by club board members, Forum owners and moderators. (no 'private' or 'sensitive' stuff, but it's a matter of principle). This has influenced negotiations and the relationship amongst moderators

Carlt has been asked to provide information around these issues at hand. Unfortunately he has been unwilling to offer an explanation. We have also considered his often harsh reactions towards owners and his on-and-off attitude towards Coupe's in general. While he was an asset to the Forum and has been helping out many people, quite some have agreed that there needs to be clarification before we allow for him to sell his services through the Forum again.

I hope for the best and that we can welcome him again soon, although I'm not going to go any further into the sponsoring agreement.

Bottom line; if Carlt is unable to defend himself on here, maybe the personal comments should cease, regardless of who's right or wrong?

I think I'm in a good position to comment.

Myself and Carl didnt see eye to eye in the beginning and couldnt really stand him tbh. However, once ya get to know him, like getting to know anyone, he was totally brand new. I know why (dont even pm me) hes not on here no more, but although he owes me and the fccuk nuthing, he is still helping people out and sending parts.

So hes not the guy u think he is.

If you didn't wind him up and genuinely needed help Carl would help you out. He even posted parts out before he was paid for them. That's not the style of someone only in it for the money. He also drove coops and attended meets.
IMO he just got p!ssed off with some of the newer peeps that wanted money off everything and most of all those looking for a car that would still expect a low mileage minter with 12 months warranty even though the car was 10 years old and for sale for 1,500 quid (can't say I blame him)
