Hi all,
Scuse if that problem was explained in past, but i search and can't find...maybe because my english terms of serch isn't too clear:(
Deeds : I upgrade from standard turbo to a atp gt2860rs. Downpipe is my creation:D,FMIC too...everything seems to be ok....BUT...Where to link small hose that was linked on compressor housing in old tb28 right you can see in that IMAGE ? gt28rs don't have some "duct" like that:(
And second question please: If I buy a gtech II ,you think is enought to work ok gt28rs+forge fuel reg+walbro255 on my engine? Or better can somebody give me a tested map to write myself in my epprom ?

Thanks for all opinions, especially those who based on practice:). Cheers !

I have mine in the pic below.

It connects to the standard pierburg valve or aftermarket boost controller and is used to control the turbo boost by acting on the actuator.

Why does it need to take the pressure from the turbo outlet and not the pressure in the inlet manifold?

I understand there will be a pressure drop between the two points.

The dump valve is operated by the vacume in the inlet manifold and the computer controlled boost typically takes it reading from the inlet manifold as well.

Thanks

John

Yes but in reality when the car is on idle it is not in vacuum at the small pipe on the turbo (I think). It would seem to be the same but it’s not and do remember that there is a throttle plate in the mix too. I'm not 100% sure why it needs to be there but I’m sure there is a proper reason. Maybe somebody else can enlighten us?

Yesterday I put the duct in that place from img. Today I'll make another one at exit of compressor, then I'll test in each location.Let'see ...:)....unfortunately,for now my software is optimized in tb28 "law".....Maybe somebody can tell me if gtech2 offer reasonable performance and no detonation with gt2860rs +decat 60.3mm+ walbro255+ fmic 8L.If not,i'll have to pay few hundred for a custom remap...I hear about SAFC (evo or II) is not help too much, and for sure can't substitute a dedicated eprom or custom remap.
Cheers and I hope you'll try to understand what I mean, even if my english is far from understanding...Sorry for that:)
