In my Coupe to the right side of the fuse box is a 12 way blue female connector. The aftermarket alarm was wired to a plug that fitted into this. This is a standard connector that allows aftermarket alarms to easily connect to the car without the installer having to find various wires. Does anyone know the pin layout of the connector?

Some are easy to work out like the permanent/switched live and earth. Some must be the door lock/unlock and hazard lights but I don't know which is which. Not all were connected to the alarm so I was also wondering what the others connect to.

You can see a couple of pictures of the plug on the end of the alarm here:

You might find the details here John: alarm wiring diagram ?

Scroll right down to the last three diagrams and you'll see the wiring schematic plus the plug identifiers.

Thanks Stan but that appears to be some standard factory alarm as it doesn't have a 12 pin connector.

I've found the following installation notes for the Meta M96 alarm I have and might be able to work something out from them.

Installation Guide for Fiat range.

On the Meta there are two block connectors, one large and one small. I see two of the wires from the Fiat connector going to the small one (6 pin). Then two wires coming out of same 6 pin connector that go to ground (they are not black wires). I'm guessing that these are the negative style door lock relays.

Should be easy to test and the guide above talks about 12 way connectors so I might be able to figure it out. I'll write it up in a FAQ once I know.

John
