I'm running my car at 1.3 bar, whch means it goes like stink, and also has a wastegate which chatters with the best of them.

I understand from Barbz that I have an 0.8 bar wastegate actuator and the way ahead may be to fit a 1 bar actuator.

My questions are:

Who makes the uprated actuators?

How much do the cost, and to fit?

Can anyone somewhere to do this for me near Reading?

Shouldn't I really have a 1.3 bar actuator since that's the boost I'm running?

My car is:

GT28RSR Turbo
FMIC
Induction kit
Apexi AVCR boost controller
Helix Organic clutch
Fuel pump & reg
Aquamist
Longlife 3" exhaust, hi flow cat, custom 3" downpipe

I think the 14psi actuator from the GT28RS is the one you need, you can get them from turbo dynamics or probably any other turbo company, or maybe Grant on here?

I recently spoke to TD about mine - they recommended not exceeding twice the actuator rating ie 0.5bar act = 1bar boost. 0.8bar act = 1.6bar boost etc...

So on that advice 0.8 bar act should be ample for 1.3bar boost.

If you want to hold more boost at the redline, adjust your boost controller

Personally looking at your spec, i would fancy running 1.3 at the redline

I don't need any more boost - boost/power is fine for my setup.

What I'm after is for the car not to judder violently every time I come back off the power from high boost.

while we're on the topic of actuators, anyone check out the Forge actuators? they're serviceable and don't break (according to Forge). they make one specifically for the Nissan S14 which i would assume will work for our application?
