I've arrived at Stanford at about 11 before and had no trouble getting in and parking with the rest of the Coupes.

All these photos we keep seeing of tidy coupes... I suppose the hard part is the 'standard' look. Or finding one on original wheels... Which reminds me, I wonder if Bockers would lend me his wheels for the display? John? John? I know you're out there somewhere...

(my wheels have kerbing scars dating back to the first time Anita drove the car, in, oh, ninety-seven or so...)

I'm looking at doing a mini Show N Shine for all of us who haven't got a "standard" coupe.

Don't worry, it'll be very informal and just a little "extra" for us all on the day.

There is a good chance we will make this (in some kinda car :D) so we'll help ya out if ya want craig?

Some git's run a gouge into my rear nearside bumper (kid on a bike, I suspect). Not a happy bunny at the moment...

we now have our THREE Coupes for concours competition.

1. Niel (barnacle) Black Standard Coupe. with scratch
2. James (Jap) Red LE
3. (Bosco) Ink Black 1999 20VT (Late Model with plus wheels etc)

As for a club show and shine, that sounds like a nice idea I will ask at the next meeting if there are any funds for some small prizes

I've already had the OK off Matty for the Tatton Show and as we're not putting an "official" Stand on there, we should be able to transfer that to this shouldn't we?

@ Ross - glad to hear you'll still be kicking around buddy and a helping hand from you and Alaina would be much appreciated.

Due to a change in plans, looking for accomodation. Anyone recommend somewhere pretty close?

Lutterworth is the nearest small town, just off the M1 and only a few miles from Stanford. There are loads of other sites if you Google "accommodation Lutterworth".

I can't vouch for anything in particular as I've not stayed in any of them. I guess it depends what you're after too - pub, B&B, hotel etc

The polishing has started already!

I've just been out and polished the plastic of my rear lights. Meguiars paintwork polish has brought them up from dull, faded lumps into super glossy minters that look like boiled sweets - yum!

I've also attacked the works bits of grime - in the door shuts and around the inside of the bootlid. Much better now

Got my tickets today, thanks! So I suppose I'd better stop playing with the new Quantum and start polishing again. I have a stand built for the last-place 'wooden spoon'

I've heard a rumour from the Fiat BOO forum that Jeremy Clarkson and crew will be there in their latest challenge cars. Don't know how reliable that info is, but would be interesting if its true!

i see your all getting tickets. Is it worth getting them or will it be ok to get them on the day and go into the fiat section.

If i do need to buy tickets where do you get them from?

you'll be ok to get them at the gate and no problem getting in the coupe section
