As mentioned before a very good day, I came along with a friend and his Maserarti and spent nearly the whole afternoon walking around the looking at the various cars on display, and hardly spent any time in the FCCUK area . Was surprised so see so many of us to be there as well, apologies for not speaking to hardly anyone other than a quick hello to Neil (Barnacle) and then a quick goodbye to Begbie & Barmybob. Congratulations to JAP for picking up the his award, I noticed the compare classed the Coupe as a "Modern" Fiat Gary

Didn't get much Video work done yesterday, but did manage to get this Bob That is superb Bob - thanks a million. I like to think of the trophy as an award to ALL coupe owners, the whole team... I'd like to thank Begbie, Barmybob, Motormech... Jeez - I'm beginning to sound like an award winner! lol! James

HI guys
just to say thank you to you all for making me feel so welcome. I'm new to coupe ownership and it was nice to meet other owners and see other cars. It was nice to see a good turn out and the weather was dry other than the small shower we had.
the club concourse competition we had was good fun and it was nice to get ideas for what i want to do with my car next.
see you at the next meet
all the best lee

This weekend I was going to copy what Hubby did in Scotland, get a picture of everyone by their car, then stick some usernames up when I posted them. Well best laid plans, I didn't even get to meet everyone Anyone know who the young lady in the Porto Blue Coupe was or the fellow on his own in the other black LE? It is crazy that we all don't spend a bit more time getting to know each other When we next have a Club meet get yourself to the tent and introduce yourself to those hanging about there. Normally it will be Ed, Begbie, PeterP, Bockers, Barnacle and other well known forum peeps too. You might even see me but I have a tendancy to walk off and leave Mrs BB watching the stuff

Club president Alexis (Begbie) and Mrs BB spent several hours looking over ALL the coupes and scored each car on a number of points in the following catagories, Exterior, Interior and Engine bay. The winners were; Exterior = MR C Interior = carphone Engine Bay = Cowboy Each winner received a winner’s shield Congratulations to all the winners, although I did try to get the judges to review mine by offering Mrs BB a £50..ahem.. 'reassessment fee' but bribery and corruption gets you nowhere Anyway, I would have won the 'best underbelly' prize as I had spent all week waxoyling, greasing and Hammeriting... ..in my dreams - and judging by Cowboy's engine bay condition .. he'd have won that one as well! In this photo, look at the big man's reaction when he realised Neil hadn't won the concours event.. http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y241/PBignell/?action=view¤t=2008_0601StanH0028.jpgMany thanks to Begbie and Committee members for organising a great day, and to all Coupé owners, families and friends and their shiny cars

Sorry I haven't posted earlier - laptop's on the fritz. Very enjoyable day with an excellent turnout - think Karl said 38 coops in total? Good to meet old friends again and put faces to names too - I didn't know Begbie either. Finally managed to get hold of some Club stickers which are now in the side windows. Clarkson and co really did put in an appearance which was a bonus but the highlight (which I missed) was hearing that Phil Ward said it was nice to see an unmolested coupe winning the concours (referring to Jap's LE) - James have you had the heart to tell him how molested it really is?!!! Thanks to everyone there for making it such an enjoyable day. Photos to follow when new laptop arrives.

I own the black Le that was parked at the top of the hill. I was talking to Jap's partner when she said "who brought you here"?, to which I replied "I drove, I am 28"! I think she thought I was a bit younger than I am. your black LE was stunning, mine needs a bit of TLC to get it up to your standard - from the outside at least he he. No Vinci Greys on show though, which was a shame. Thanks Dan

That will be Maxxxer (I think that the right number of x's!) Nice car and a thoroughly nice bloke James Indeed it is mine, and thank you all for the compliments! (For the record James is a throughly nice bloke too, but Im sure we're all aware of this... ) Good to see such a good turnout, and apologes to those who i didnt get to chat to (quite shy really... ) Nice to meet you Skinflint, and Im glad to say in the above pic yu cant see me eating my lunch Congrats to James for winning the Concourse (and good to see you again - first time ive seen the LE and it really is a fantastic car!), and my apologies for leaving so early; I'll ensure to stay for the day next time. Now, has anyone else noticed in that photo the people who are standing on top of Stanford Hall? How did they get up there?

Unfortunately as I had our fractious 2 1/2 year old and wife in tow I didn't get much of of a chance to meet anyone, we spent most of the time looking round the rest of the cars ( Enzo ) and buying ice creams We also had to leave early as we had some tickets for the Kenilworth show.

SimonJ - its a Savage Universal slash cut backbox, running on a cat back pipe. I think its a 3 1/2" box, but ive had it on ages so im not entirely sure - dont think its a 4" though. It tends to be a bit of a marmite exhaust - some people love it, some people think its too 'Jap look' for an Italian car, but I like it...

Thanks Dan I did not bother to do the inside but after seeing what the deal is rest assured next year it will be doors and bonnet open, now to find a steam cleaner!! LOL
