Do you fit this to the same pipe as the boost gauge and dump valve? Any pics?

If so does it matter which order you connect it i.e PRV closest to the manifold or boost gauge t-piece closest to the manifold?

Im fitting my Gtec and PRV at the same time so when i set the PRV to 1.2 bar do i set it at full boost in 1st gear? 3rd gear?? 5th gear?? and at what RPM?

Any how to guides as my mechanical skills are limited to a spanner and a haynes manual usually

When you're disconnecting the EBV, use the blue and red hose of that. Then you don't have to use the T for anything.

if you go through the list of guides from the old forum,it has all the info as well as pretty pictures for you.
When you set the boost, set it slowly, one turn at a time in 4th or 5th gear, that way you should not blow your turbo up in the lower gears.

Pop round mine sometime if you want dan and we can install it together and ill show you what goes where. really the standard pipes i find are pretty short and you are sometimes better getting some silicong piping, about 2 metres is enough to locate it at a more accessible area

just fitted mine this morning. found i had to screw mine out by 1 full turn and is now running 1 bar on the button. very happy . one quick question though , it removes the boost limit in first and second doesn't it?! so with my standard chip will it fuel ok in the higher revs on boost? dont want it to lean out too much. guess this is what the gtec is for ?

PRV and Chip both fitted now 1st and 2nd gear feel much stronger and the turbo doesnt half kick in now

Got her upto around 100 leptons to check the other gears but not had chance to really put my foot down as much as i would of liked because as usual in manchester its just started to pi55 it down

Overall the installation of the PRV and chip was a doddle even by my standards as im a complete novice when it comes to getting my spanners out! Also thank you to whoever put the installation guides together, great job

If anybody is thinking of fitting a PRV and Gtec go for it

its the gtech 1 that removes the limiter in 1st and 2nd not the PRV mate.
The PRV just lets you boost more.

Paul the boost limiter is removed as soon as you stop using the EBV, nothing to do with the chip. When you connect a PRV, the GTEC or standard chip for that matter just looks after fuelling and ignition. PRV looks after boost. Whatever chip you are running the only boost limit is set by the PRV.
