Just had a nasty runin with something on the m60 motorway:(
Some idiot on the other side of the motorway ran on to the central reservation knocking all the crap from his side straight in to my path at slightly over the speed limit. I hit a large blue metalic object with a large bang some shudering still in one piece so caried on home (not far).
Got Home and had a luck destroyed front bumper, undertray gone, gearbox bell housing damaged, left hand lower supension arm dented, rear brake lines servered, masive dent in chasis under passenger footwell, lots of other scrapes oh and a large crack in rear bumber wear it emegered. Only spent about 4k in last 6 mnths gutted!!

Would have been better to stop on the hard shoulder really and call recovery or police, or both. (after all it could have been something serious )

Certainly you should have reported it. You could probably claim against someones insurance or the highways department or something

You need to report this. You will be able to claim off the insurance of the person who caused the debri.

Last year, I came across a lawnmower in the third lane - managed to avoid it, but a couple of cars later, it was hit

Very soon afterwards, I saw a car with a trailer parked on the hard shoulder, with a very sheepish-looking owner tying down the contents of the trailer - muppet.

I managed to avoid a wheel-barrow sitting in the middle lane once - certainly woke me up a bit !

Sell it and buy a peugeot 106 "rallye"

was on the m6 once in a friends car when a tractor tyre came off a wagon from the opposite side and bounced right across the front of us.

i think the strangest thing ive come across on a motorway in the third lane was another car facing straight at me!! a wonky red corsa had managed to spin on a straight bit of motorway.

scared the life out of me!

keeping on the point, you should report it, this happened to my dad and he managed to claim money for the repairs.

Serious piece of bad luck. I'd be in tears. Puts my dodgy paint job into perspective.
