Hi,
My boost controller needs replacing. Has anyone selling one or maybe you can recomend alternative to the original? What's the best to fit in?

Also looking for a turbo (new) or can you let me know what can replace the original turbo (I found on ebay lots of but the numbers do not match mine although they for fiat coupe - at list that what's they saing in ads ;\) ).

Dump valve - upgrade any recommendation?

If you could recommend a good garage close to NW London that's would be fantastic. I have been already in solo italia and auto integrale but they quite far away.

Thanks a lot \:\)

What boost controller does the car run at the moment?

As far as the turbo goes it really depends on what power you want and also how you want the car to drive?

I would buy a forge DV006 which is a replacement for the standard valve, though they also do vent to atmos valves if you like the noise.

I would take the car to Powerfiat in Basildon - it is a bit of a drive, but worth it.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

So, I have 20VT Plus year 2000. At the begining I wished to change air filter for induction one with it's own air box (like K&M Apollo or BMC), spark plugs, upgrade dump valve, chnge/ upgrade boost controller as it's anyway gone (I think it's original one) and get a chip which could add 25-35 bhp.
But now the turbo needs to be replaced (smoke when I am stuck in traffic and smell of burning oil like from 2 stroke \:\) ). Probably seals are gone. In that case I can go for better one maybe a bit stronger but I don't want to spend hundreds to change half of the engine to get it work.
I found couple of turbos on ebay (link: http://listings.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQa10244ZQ...ListingItemList )
-K27 Turbocharger Oil Cooled Turbo Divided T3 Flange
-T70 Turbocharger Turbo A/R .70 35PSI
-T3 T4 Turbocharger Turbo A/R .50 Stage 3 T04E 27PSI
-T04 T4 Turbocharger Turbo
-K03 Turbocharger Turbo
-GT3076 Turbocharger Turbo T25 Flange
-GT28RS BALL BEARING TURBO CA18DET SR20DET S13 S14 GT28
but don't know if any suitable.
It would be great if you could advice me which boost controller and turbo models are the best?
And the chip - what to fit in? (Solo Italia has one (no idea what) for around £130 and it should add around 30bhp.

Thanks!!!! \:\)

Well how much do you want to spend and how do you want the car to drive?

I wish to add not to much (up to 40 bhp) and spend no more than £ 400- 450 excluding turbo.

Agnes, your thread is probably better in tuning the way it is developing.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Ebay Turbos = FAKE.
You need to look at GT28R or GT28RSR or GT28RS

Buy than chip for example GTEC1, Simota Racing, K&N or Pipercross cone air filter, catback exhaust, good quality plugs and you should be there ;\) and that would be around £300 if you can install it yourself.

You can't just buy the turbo and expect it to fit...you'll need additional bits. you should do some research in the tuning section, all the answers are there and you'll have some knowledge which will help you make a decision on what turbo is best for how you want the car to drive...
