In the driving seat!
I have just started polishing a replacement rocker cover as mine has the rear rh lug cracked. Interesting to note that the replacement one has stess lines in the casting and I will have to be careful when tightening the bolts not to crack it. Anyone else noticed stress lines on the casting?

ive seen a few like that there is a specific torque setting for these, if your fingers survive the rocker cover and your looking for anything else polished i do an exchange on plenums, rocker covers and fuel reals etc. \:\)

Buy one.... you can cause some serious damnage by not torqueing them up correctly.

use the inbuilt torque wrench in your wrist it doesnt have to be overly tight just nip it down nice and u'll have no problems

More like finger tight. Hand tight will do well over 40nm. Use two fingers close to the pivot point. But my advice is to get a torque wrench, you will need one if you ever plan to change your oil.

I agree torque wrenches that go down to 7 or 9 Nm are hard to find. I have one that goes to 10NM but I will be very careful!!!

i think im gunna just hand(or finger in this case)tighten them and then find a local garage with a 9nm torque wrench and get them to tighten it.
sorted.
