Hi, quick question, have read a lot of posts saying how a turbo can overboost briefly to say 1.4 bar before falling back again to 1 bar using the standard ebv, how damaging is this and could it cause engine failure, thanks

The turbo will survive and the engine will probably be ok as long as it was a brief overboost.

I was told that brief boost spikes are ok as long as the fuelling is ok.
