I have a warped Front brake disc on my 20vt, which developed while i was at the Nurburgring earlier this year. Have had a lot of rumbling and vibration from it.
Diagnosed by jacking up car and trying to spin the wheel-it would spin half way then i could see the gap between disc and pad close and it became very stiff-the other side span freely.
I know there has been posts about this before but i cant find them on search.
Is it a cureable problem or do i need to buy some new discs?

if you can actually see the gap between disc and pad close and open, then the discs are genuinely warped

Get yourself over to the Group Buy section and have a look at the Pagid Group Buys

Yeah thats what i mean i dont think it is due to bits of pad melted into the disc. Bloody 3g discs! How the hell can they warp!?

@Phil-yeah still got coop and going to keep the old girl now. Have decided to invest a bit (lot) more money into her.

Dont know if its relevant but i also turned the calipers gold-i guess this is due to extreme heat which is probably why the discs warped?

Yep - the laquer on the calipers goes gold when they get a bit hot. \:D
