i'm going to knockhill to race my coop against my mate's coop.

they're both 20vts with 130k on the clock.

he has konis, strut brace, and a novichip, and a scorpion back box if you can include that.

I have just a gtec chip.

he just edges slightly in front.

my question is, is there anything i can do quickly just to close that gap?

do any of these octane juices work or can i advise him to fill up at sainsburys and i fill up at shell on the sly?

ideally i'd like a prv but i don't think i'll get one on time to receive it and stick it on the car by saturday.

Fuel won't make much of a difference really, from what I can gather you only gain the benefits of higher octane fuel if you're actually mapped specifically to use it. And even if you could gain a slight power advantage, I would imagine his setup would give him an advantage in the corners anyway, so I'd say you're probably stuck as you are.

Having said that, it's mostly about the driver anyway ;\)

Oh, and another thing.. if he wins, you say "well you had the faster car, so what?". And if you win, you say "omg you lost even tho you had the faster car! LOSER!!". So you got nowt to lose really \:D

Get yourself a 2.4 conversion, should do the trick ;\)

Or the cheaper option, sabotage his car - give him a boost leak, disconnect an injector... etc

Strip out the interior, remove as much as you dare! It'll improve the braking, handling and acceleration. I'd fill up with Shell or Tesco 99 to avoid det while on the track (if you don't already) \:\)
