I don't think this is a new phenomonen. I've heard lots of stories about RR 'people' being know alls who won't have anything they say questioned. From what I can make out they often get annoying 'know-all' customers who want to do it all themselves and so adopt a very defensive attidtude when you start showing an interest in what is going on...

I asked my guy if he has det cans yesterday and he started asking me if I knew what I would be listening for? When I told him I would expect him to do it as that's what I'm paying him for, he told me that he gets countless idiots wanting to have a go themselves... and then obviously don't know what they're doing.

Customer service isn't the strongpoint of plenty of people in the car tuning/ maintenance world... Hell, it took four years for me to be offered a cuppa at PowerFiat and even then I'm sure it was to stop me talking to Ruben while he was working \:D

Dan - It's common for turbo cars to be leaner low down - but the question is how lean.

You will hit boost faster in higher gears due to the load on the turbo.

If the manifold was blowing then it will certainly affect spoolup. The load on a rolling road can also be different to on the actuall road.

i will ask the guy and find out how lean it was, i best take it easy on the way home if it is too bad.... or just keep it in the high revs \:D

i have just had another theory what could be causing the fueling problems... either a faulty maf or blocked injectors?! would this be another cause?!
im just getting totally stumped now and quickly runing out of cash to try and solve this, is it worth just trying a new chip, 3.8fpr and fuel pump first to see if that solves the problem?!
