Have just had to have a tow home... Had 4x100 pcd 17inch wheels with i think 3-5mm spacers which cleared my brembos... However the spacers were not hubcentric and had caused one of the wheels to come loose and [censored] two of the threads in the hub... For peace of mind would like to know what you guys would recommend in terms of spacers and bolts and from who...

I am pretty sure you will have to get hubcentric spacers and wobble bolts, I had a problem on my 16VT where someone had fitted 100pcd wheels and standard bolts and it wrecked the threads as well.

As for spacers I personally would go the thinnest spacers I could get away with, whilst still allowing the wheels to clear the brakes, and use bolts that are longer than standard. If the spacer is 5mm use bolts that are 5mm longer and so on..

the bolts were all wobbly bolts it's just the spacer obviously had a bit of play and then broke causing one bolt to become loose and in turn causing some play in the wheel,... Have got some spacers from solo italia being delivered along with some fiat 5mm spacers which should be a direct fit, but thinking hubcentric or H&R spacers may be the way forward albeit a pricey one...

If you find your revised setup comes loose again don't assume its the wheels. When mine came loose it was the final straw for the balljoint on the opposite side and the resulting vibration worked the wheel bolts loose over time. Had me doubting my sanity and torque wrench until I discovered it.
