I've been wondering the same thing Karl. Changing the shaft itself is not going to be that simple for those of us with lift to reverse collars is it? confused

I'd be happy with a coop version of that but there's still the problem of the reverse collars. evil

I made up a gate from some wood and a router, took a while till i got it right. Works lovely but i need to get it milled from some aluminium. Either that or find a steel cutting bit for my router, Its a work in progress, Oh i am also making up an armrest for the car, Again from wood, The armrest is finished just need to get some nice leather to cover it.

Lift up reverse collar - not a problem ! Ive altered mine for the fitment of an aftermarket gearknob, and it really was quite easy tongue

If anyone is bothered i can post the photos, but one thing i will say - no need to cut the collar..... cool

(Posting pictures is easier as the thing ive used i know what its for, but i have no idea what its called... rolleyes )

Hmmmm....having actually re-read the post im not sure my bodge would work for a gear gate; it simply removes the lift up collar and allows fitment of an aftermarket knob

Damn my forum-reading-after-beers attempt...... crazy

If anyone is still bothered i can post pics, but apologies for not actually reading it properly rolleyes
