Okay time has come need to purchase some tyres by end of play tomorrow.
At the top I have Toyo TR 1 Proxes 205/50 anyone got any suggestions on others or better. Seen som Pirelli P Zero's but they were 40% more.
All or any suggestions welcome, including cheap place to buy. If not I shall click and purchase.
Thanks all

I've never tried anything other than the Falkens I have at the moment. If I floor the throttle in 1st gear at 2mph, then when full boost (1.3 bar) hits at 15-20mph there is no chance in hell of any grip whatsoever in the dry. Same in 2nd in the wet at 30mph - instant wheelspin frenzy I have to use half throttle in those situations at the moment, but as soon as the AVCR is fitted I'll be making separate dry and wet settings, which reduce the boost to grippable levels in those gears. The snow and ice setting is called "off" I think the handling is great though, but cant compare until I need new tyres, at which point I'll be going for Toyo T1R's

I use PZeros and have had no problems, I just picked up 2 for £55 +vat each from my local tyre place! I've got PZeros all round and while I don't need any at present, £64 inl VAT is a fantastic price, so may be worth stocking up - if you can get them for that, then IMO hardly worth considering anthing else! I recently checked and could not see them for less than 3 figures inclusive of VAT! Spill the beans - Who is your local tyre supplier and where they located?

I am happy with my Falkens. I have used Toyo T1-R's and I didn't rate them as highly. They seemed to be very prone to aquaplaning on standing water and didn't grip well in the damp. That was on a Nissan 200SX though, so they may be a bit different on a Coupe.

These are the badboys you want... Toyo R1-R ... sadly you'll have to wait a couple of months, they're behind schedule. They were due to be released in the UK back in May.

I'm gonna be putting Falken 912s on mine soon ... ( replacements for the 512s IIRC )
Even with damn costly Continental sport 2s on the front, in the dry wheelspin is easy to invoke ..

They were due to be released in the UK back in May. oh wow! i'll be getting myself a set of them for sure! i have had both the T1-R's and the P-Zero Nero's, of the two i would go for the Toyo. P-Zero Nero's 215/40/17 £92.00 fitted per corner Dry Grip: outstanding Wet Grip: like ice skating fronts lasted about 2 months (several front sets) Toyo T1-R's 215/40/17 £70.00 fitted Dry Grip: a smidge less that the Pirelli Wet Grip: very good, very competitive around Castle Coombe Fronts are lasting about 4 months (on my second front set) Hope this helps Ry

toyos or falkens for me from now on. I will never ever touch a goodyear tyre again. 4 sidewall problems and 1 that vibrated so badly i thought i had a square wheel. BOS Interesting. A sidewall on my last goodyear f1 split within a month of buying it. Put it down to the poor road I was on but now not so sure

I'm a keen Falken FK-452 fan. I've just bought another 4 of the things.
At £60 fitted a corner as 205/50/16 they are by far the best value in my book. I tried Toyo T1-Rs and another highly recommended tyre before these and they wore out so damn quickly while costing £30 a corner more. Toyos were a lot better in the wet than the Falkens though...
F****** b****** thing...

Looking like the Toyo's then Thanks all! Just received an email from TOYO regarding the release date of the R1-R's. They've been delayed till 'Early 2009' in the UK.
