Can I just say that I like ALL coupe's despite what may or may not have been interpreted in other threads. I chose an LE because it was just a bit different, certainly not looking for classic status, dont think there is much chance of re-couping

the money I will have spent but its damn cheaper than having to buy a new car with all the depreciation and dealer costs that go with it.
My own car is an economic miracle. Its cost me about 5.5k (buying fixing etc etc) and its still rough but I love it and in time it will get all the bits done that need doing and I will keep it for a good few years if I can. Its still worth about 3k at the very least. So that is good in my book and experience of owning cars.
This compares rather well to most other "new" cars that I have owned. The miracle being that car is unlikely to depreciate and as long as it keeps going through MOT's and the chancellor doesn't decide to tax my car into the scrapyard its going to be kept. Prices for a new Audi/BMW/Merc are likely to cost me in the region of £400-500 a month just to own the thing. I wont spend anywhere near that on the coupe even if I got the coupe re-sprayed and had the interior recovered in the finest cow hide.
As for it reaching a classic status I wont be holding my breath. Its just a very good four seater GT car for the money.
The above is despite the owners of other newer cars looking down on it and my relatives all trying to persuade me to buy something sensible.
and the more sheds that disappear the better imho.
