After a bad experience at redline tuning in Basildon, I've decided to go elsewhere out of principle. Has anyone had good experiences with any other tuners with a dyno in the area?

I'm only really after somehwere I can get a decent RR reading though. If I was after a full remap, I'd probably go to PT but they're a bit far for a simple fuelling check I'm really looking for someone that: -knows how to set his own machine up properly -won't start trying to tell me that BHP isn't calculated from rpm and torque -won't quote me £150 to fit an uprated FPR An honest bloke that does what I ask and will give honest, accurate answers to any tuning related questions i have would be great How much do PT charge for a straight RR run btw?

Serioulsy - they are not that far away, just make the trip there! Fitting the FPR takes 5 mins - either do it yourself or they will.

Fitting the FPR takes 5 mins - either do it yourself or they will. Question is though how much will they charge you? My guess is that it'll be for the full workshop hour.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, that's certainly a good start. I'm looking for det testing, plenty of printouts and ECU/ PRV changing whilst on the RR so I'll have to pop along to each and see what they're like. I've seen the Track 'n' Road website before, they certainly have a good rep and a good history with racing cars. The one at Rayleigh looks really interesting. As I intend to keep going back for minor tweaks to get the car right being local is always good. Have you actually used them Tbird? Their facilities certainly look top notch. Rog is going to fit the FPR when I get it so no probs there. Thanks for the suggestions all

I just had my Westy RR'ed and set up on twin 40's there. First time I've ever used a RR and I just dropped it off on Friday and picked it up on Monday.
Got all the print outs etc, they'll even do you a video and let you take all the pics you like etc.
Price was reasonable and I have no complaints at all, but, as you say, go have a look, speak to them. They're very friendly and won't mind endless questions and a tour of the facilities.
Like I say, I have nothing to compare them to but I'd go back, thats all I can say.

I've considered these too. Even had a blast with a Cossy with their sticker on the back... judging by the speed of the thing, I'd have to agree that they know what they're doing Yea, they are a ford specialist I think When I last went they had a serious Escort Cosworth on the ramps, and an RS500! inside

Have run on there rolling road with previous cars, seem to know what they are up to Someone mentioned that the rollers are quite low at engine advantages. Not good with a lowered coupe.
