Do Fiat still sell new engines if so does anyone know how much they are? Also is torque italia still running? Think something has fubbered on my engine fine at idle but top end rattle from around no 1 piston area when reved checked oil and yes there wasn't any.

if not able to find one, paul at motormech had some very good second-hand ones a couple months back - i'd trust him if h e said they were good-uns same as rog...

Would have to be something like that Rich, problem with a standard engine would be the pistons cracking again etc etc, maybe a forged 2.4 is the way forward. Going to investigate tomorrow and do compression checks etc etc, hopefully I will find something which will not need me to sell a kidney.
