Hi, I currently have a 20vna with cloth seats, and i dont particularly like them, theyre ok, but black leather would look so much smarter, would match the handbrake, wheel, gearknob etc. Just wondering how difficult it is to replace seats for leather original fiat coupe seats? Do i need to change the door cards, the ones that i have atm are black leather that came with the car so surely not? Any help would be much appreciated.

There must be a how to guide. And yes the door cards are different too with smooth leather on the armrest smile I'm sure if you bought a set from countrycruising our resident breaker, he would help you fit them smile

Fitting a leather interior is dead easy. The door cards are easy to remove and replace too (see the 'how to' section).

I bought just the leather arm inserts from someone on here. These were also really easy to fit, just remove the door cards (don't be afraid to give them a good wack upwards to remove them from the top clips), unscrew the old inserts from the back and attach the new leather ones. Just make sure they are held in tightly.

Very simple. Front seats are simply a bolt in each corner. Rears almost as simple with two at the bottom front edge of the base and then two (or three cant remember) more that hold the backs that you get at via the boot.

I did the same conversion and took the opportunity to dye the carpet at the same time (well worth doing). Interior was transformed. I've not tried them but lateral support in leather from the later plus models is supposed to be much better from comments hereabouts.

Thanks for the help guys :O) Just need to find a place to buy some decent coop seats now, preferably in black leather. My door cards are already black leather, i can see the stitching, im confused now lol. Or is it just leatherette? I wont be dying the carpet lol, not that good with handywork so would make a big bodge of it haha! Thanks again.

Try Countrycruising smile

Your door cards will be vinyl

Assuming the carpet is already black, you won't need to dye it!

My carpet was already black, the dye (Ridleys, you can get it on ebay) is just a spray. Very easy to do with the seats out and its like spraying on new carpet. Literally looked like new when I'd finished.

Thanks for all the help guys, what a fantastic, friendly forum :O) I will try to allocate some leather seats, pref black leather, might buy danny's, not fussed about the door cards at all tbh, like mine as they are, look like black leather anyways :O) porkypaul, if i struggle to fit them, that would be really kind mate! I'm sure i saw you as i was on my way back from the gym, i was heading towards trentham gardens a couple of weeks ago, from hanford roundabout, you were passing opposite direction towards stoke, making your way to hanford roundabout, you flashed and waved at me and i flashed back and waved lol, your car looked the sex with the skirts etc love mine is a speed red like yours but standard apart from 20v turbo wheels which enhance the looks no end :O) it is my little 'project' so going to be doing little jobs to it.
