While replacing a bulb behind my centre console today I noticed that there was a wire coming off my boost gauge that wasn`t connected to anything. My gauge seemed to operate ok and lit up when the lights were turned on so I pushed it into the power for the analogue clock and it lit up the needle of the gauge red cool .

This got me thinking that I could maybe have the needle light up when the boost pressure goes past 1 Bar so that if the needle stays lit for longer than the usual 2-3 seconds of over-boost i`ll have a nice visual warning thumb .

So does anybody know where I could get a suitable switch for this application?

Hi Baz,

i've got a couple of pressure switches left, they are the real deal, and adjustable from 0,3 to 2bars so you could set the pressure to whatever you like. They can be used for oil or air.

They have a 1/8"NPT if i'm not mistaking.

look at this pic, it's the one in the middle:

It will do the job perfectly smile

Cheers Dink but I guess that would need a hole drilled and tapped into the plenum to fit would it not confused .

I had a little search on eBay and found this switch which seems to be more like what I would prefer (lazy,i know wink ) .
