It’s new, it’s exciting… it’s a live mapping service for the 20v Turbo! Read all about it at http://www.fcperformance.co.uk

I have a special launch offer for the first 3 coupes via pm or email… 20% off listed prices ;\)

16vt injectors no problem \:\) Are you back on the standard injectors at the moment or still the 380s?

This is very tempting flea, me and paul20vturbo would like ours done, pauls stage 2 and mine stage 3 (as your site). I haven't got the money as yet (brought abit too much for my quad \:\) ) so it will be in the next 3-4months, but will definitely will be having it done.

Tempting! How are you measuring the AFR when mapping on the road?

This looks fantastic Leighton, good on you! I hoped you'd put your mapping skills to greater use. This looks like a fantastic new tuning option for us fccukers at a great price

If I decide not to put my car up for sale (which I am considering) I might be in touch as well. I think it would benefit from a proper mapping.

Now Begbie are you seriously trying to rant me into a Rob vs Flea discussion \:D

Good on Flea to get involved and if he proves himself to be a good mapper then all good I don't have a problem with that.

There is not taking away that Rob has the most 20VT live mapping experience and is one of the best Skyline mappers in the county.

If you want to discuss this further then PM me as it’s unfair to go off topic in this thread.

Is Flea just mapping fiat coupe's or will he be tuning other makes and models? At those prices a can probably get the coupe done properly, as im using a Barbz chip at the moment, which seems to work well but probably not at full potentual.

I have a few questions.

Are you going to be storming up and down public roads with the car?

Is the way you drive the car safe & legal?

What happens if it’s raining/snowing?

What happens if you damage the car?

Other than your own car what other 20VT’s have you mapped?

Do you have any before/after dyno runs of the cars you have mapped?

I'll leave it to Flea to answer those questions, however one of the major benefits would be that he has spent a huge amount of time on his own car, and would also therefore be able to diagnose any issues and fix them (within reason). Most rolling roads would simply say that there is an issue with the car, charge you for their time and then ask you to come back another day.

Thanks Si \:\)

OK Tricky, all valid questions...

Are you going to be storming up and down public roads with the car?

Most of the mapping will be done on the road at normal speeds in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. Even with my own car I don't do silly speeds, it's simply not required.

Is the way you drive the car safe & legal?

Well I like to think so yes. I have met enough people on here over the years and I'm pretty sure a few can vouch for my driving etiquette \:\) (Disclaimer: The track is a bit different \:P )

What happens if it’s raining/snowing?

Snow or heavy rain it won't happen. Light rain or damp roads then it will depend on what is being done i.e. light loads, part throttle, midrange etc. I certainly won't being doing anything silly, I have a wife, 3yr old girl and 2 week old baby boy to think of.

It's funny you ask as I remember raising my eyebrows a couple of years ago when a mapper came back telling me that my car was wheel spinning in 4th... it was raining!

What happens if you damage the car?

Comprehensive motor trade road risk insurance

Other than your own car what other 20VT’s have you mapped?

I have two coupes. One is running 440cc injectors with 400-500bhp dependent on the fuel used, it now runs 95% as good as a car on standard injectors whereas 6 months ago it was running at about 60%. I have also mapped my other standard coupe with both 400cc injectors and also standard injectors just to further my knowledge of the coupe ecu.

Do you have any before/after dyno runs of the cars you have mapped?

No, I have simply mapped the car for optimum fueling, driveability, economy and safety. Beyond that there is nothing else I can do.

As Si says, I hope my knowledge of the Coupe and having gone through the various tuning stages will help benefit others with good advice.

Seems a great service and affordable prices too. And nice to have some in a different area rather than down near London. Handy for me \:D
I have a unichip which will need remapping in the near future. This also done by you?

Ricky

Hey Ricky, did you get the sip yet? As for mapping a Unichip, you have to be a licensed dealer to obtain/use their proprietary hardware and software. However, a Unichip is simply piggybacked over the car's ecu therefore we can simply map that instead \:\)

Are you experiencing any problems mapping the 440cc injectors?
