I need to first complete the standard wastegate style manifold, after this i do not think I'll offer externa. The reason is because when people go external they usually have other things that mean the exit for the wastegates needs to be individual. TBH it would be easy enough to have one added yourself.

It's certainly interesting! Is that the external wastegate connection or have you added an extra cylinder? And can you actually shut the bonnet?

intersting manifold for sure,wouldnt fit an air con car tho would as it would foul the a/c compressor?

Yes, is the external wastegate connection.

The a/c compressor does not have to be eliminated because that manifold was made to be used in Marea Turbo, the position of the a/c compressor is different from the Coupé.

thats what i thought,sorry suba i was on about mwt's manifold.

is that engine completly different to the coupes 20vt engine.the cam cover etc looks different,is it based on a vis and turbo'd?

coupedummy: Yes, the positions of the pieces are different from Coupé Turbo, are based in the VIS the cam cover and etc, but the engine, gearbox and etc are the same as Coupé 20V Turbo, i do not know the reason for Fiat have made this change, but the space in front of the engine is very good for changes in the manifold and etc.

fcck2000: No no, £400 is a VERY good value for a manifold in stainless, i spent more than £600 to do this, only showed the manifold to the guys view and take some ideas!

Looking good, although I prefer it un-polished.

Just one question - it looks like some of the nuts are going to be an absolute bugger to get on when fitting with the engine in the car. Have you tried it out and if so how much does it hurt?

I told the supplier not to bother polishing it because it's only to check the fit.. He likes to sell them polished :-)

Your right it's gonna hurt fitting some of those nuts LOL, I may need to adjust things if it'snimpossible.. Hard enough to remove the standard manifold and you can get to all the nuts easily..

A ratchet ring spanner should be fine in that gap shouldn't it ?

Those are not equal length outlets though are they? And don't worry if you don't like polished, it will tarnish and turn a bit blue quite quickly in my experience (used to have full stainless system on my Fiat Dino 2400 coupe) and presumably the heat shield won't fit will it? I'm trying not to sound negative, I've been looking forward to these for a long time

Yes they are drawn equal length but they may vary slightly in the production process. I certainly would not expect more than 20mm differences. TBH even a tubular without equal lengths would make a massive improvement over standard.
No the heat shield will not fit. What does it shield the heat from? because as I look at it I don't see any real point to it.. I'm sure Fiat had a reason but for me I would ditch it anyway in favour of seeing the manifold.

Very nice manifold. One manifold seen here had also 1/8 NPT in collector part to be able to put Exhaust Gas Temperature Probe (EGT). Those ones who do not need it, there should be a dummy bolt on the 1/8 NPT thread. Possible to add that as standard or as option when ordering that nice manifold?

The main thing is to keep it short, smooth and the same internal diameter all the way through. Equal length is last as is NOT as important on a turbo car as it is on an N/A.

The manifold looks like a work of art, good use of pulled bends, nice welding.

On a sidenote, would the manifold be less brittle ( and i only mean slightly ) if you used carbon steel rather than stainless, I assume you are using 321 ?

I'd like to see what improvements this brings, as my 2.4 could do with a spruce up, in fact, it may get my ass in gear to finish it off !

Not sure about carbon steel TBH, the supplier sugested I use carbon steel for the flanges on the 16v version but I requested SS instead. I've used 304 grade stainless for the 16v ones and can asure you I've had no issues with cracking :-) These have been sold over the last eight months and I've only one complaint and return.. The manifold was returned because the buyer expected something I could not achieve... in fact God himself would have struggled to meet the criteria LOL
