Hi Rich,
My friend got +35 bhp more with C&B cams. Std engine, TO4 turbo, boost equal in both RR sessions (checked from the video). With OE cams he had 378 bhp/6300 rpm and with C&B cams 413 bhp/6700 rpm.

Better flowing intake to the turbo and bigger injectors or extra injectors. Otherwise setup like Rich have.

throw away the notion that you can change the timing belt every 72k miles if you fit these cams. Probably should change it every 40k miles at most IMHO as there is an increased load on the belt the whole time. The other thing I would say is that if you can afford it then get the cams adjusted on a rolling road, there is a vernier adjustment on both inlet and exhaust and you can change the behaviour of the engine quite a bit by adjusting. That's true of std cams too, but I never tried it with them. My findings were that you can gain quite a bit low down without any expense at the top end with a slightly different timing for them

How do they affect the way a coop drives? Is it just a little more urge at the higher rpms or more power across the board? Also do you lose a bit of torque lower down?
F****** b****** thing...

Fortunately I own/run my own workshop and we Specialise in Italian vehicles so the fitting of the cams and a new cambelt wont cost anything other then the parts.
Rich
Just out of intrest what cars do you specialise in? What's the name of your 'workshop'?

Yes both mine are not at the original position. It doesn't take a great deal to make a difference though.
The cams are at least 10% higher lift and 10% extra duration, but more importantly for both their performance and the belt is that the ramp rate is much more aggressive on the cams.
Can this cams be used in the original pulleys??

Do you just run with the timing cover off the John if you adjust them on the rollers?

Yes original pulleys - they have vernier adjustment, they just don't have flashy marks Do you just run with the timing cover off the John if you adjust them on the rollers? More of a faff then that I'm afraid, have to undo the mount and lift the engine to adjust. You also need to take the cam cover off
