Hi
Looking at doing a stage 1 remap with these guys, any feedback on your experience please?
Only mods at present are drilled air box, K&N air filter and cat back exhaust.
Worth it?

Well i can only comment on what i have seen Flea do to his own car at Ten of The Best. No one has used him as of yet, although i believe Luke is there today using his services, so no doubt will report on his services.
But for your mods, it's probably not worth a re-map, as if you start adding FMIC, larger turbo etc.. you will need another remap, so it's up to you really.
Your car is Usain Bolt with wellies

I would suggest a GTEC chip and a rolling road session to check the fueling. Don't forget Flea does not have a rolling road so you would have to do that anyway. There will be several rolling roads near you that will be able to check things out. I have a GTEC 2 chip you can have for £20 if you want.

Print this so you can look back and laugh in three years i thought a gtec2 was better suited to a more modded car?
You're right, you don't need or want this. A Gtec1 is the better option for your car with it's current mods. Get a Gtec1 and then get it on a RR to check fuelling
F****** b****** thing...

I'm sure Leighton will be able to test using a wideband probe on nice bit of road around his place. V.

If it were me I would rather take my car to FC Performance than PT or PTS! The difference between doing something as a functional job vs. doing it because you have a passion for the particular marque makes a big difference to the service you get and overall experience.

Thanks to all for the feedback so far.
JohnS - these are my thoughts exactly, having spoken to flea it is clear he is passionate about what he is doing plus I would prefer a bespoke map to my car rather than a generic one.
I will be seeing Flea in the very near future ...

Since when did cars need live mapping with such a low setup all of a sudden? What it wrong with GTEC and fuelling check? Seems like there is something fishy going on all of a sudden.

Gtec still has to be suitable for ANY coupe though doesnt it, and every coupe is different. A Gtec with fuelling check would be fine, but I'm sure it could be tweaked to a much finer level on one individual car.

I have spoken to Shaggy and advised him that 9/10 just using a G-Tec I will be perfectly fine. Graham has done a fantastic job over the years and has produced a highly affordable and safe chip option, that's fact. You may not know as it was before your time, but I was the main guniea pig for the G-Tec II development as we know it today The idea behind a stage 1 re-map is to make sure everything is doing what it needs including a health check on the engine, fueling and boost. If people want that then I'm happy to do it, no more, no less.
