outside = the side nearest the outside of the car
bump stop is just a small rubber bung that the cooler rests up against
as for chopping off the brackets, my mistake, you need to chop off the ones on the same side as the connecting pipes, since the "outside" one will foul the inside of the bumper, and the "inside" one might foul the pulley/drive belts, but if you chop them off, the cooler will fit in the original position and you can use the original air ducting, I don't think you'll get very good air flow over the cooler the way you have it now

Couple more piccies How the engine is looking now4" SIP and K&N Cone filterFuel system almost doneCar has moved out of it's parking outside the garage due to neighbours complaining and threatening to tow it away tomorrow, so now has been moved into a different neighbours garage. Couple more minor bits to do to the wiring and that will be going in, need some more P clips to run the fuel lines under the car, then the fuel system will be done. Oh and it's the 3rd year anniversary since the engine last blew up

That is looking good Begbie. It will be a right animal when it is complete. How much do you estimate the final total will be? In money and time?

Damn, that means that if we knew the neighbours we could have bribe them to give you enough hell to finish the car last year Looking good Mr. A., pretty sure next time I'm up there it will be running (or should I say will have been completed ) Waiting to see the dyno graph V.

begbie will you be adapting the front bumper to get more air to the fmic ? Nope, zender bumper does a good job already. That is looking good Begbie. It will be a right animal when it is complete. How much do you estimate the final total will be? In money and time? Time, well 3 years so far, not sure on the man hours i've spent on it and as for cost, well, it's a lot! More piccies : Motec to Fiat Loom and coloured conduitWiring loom in carWiring in engine bayManaged to get the wiring in, and back behind the sound deadening on the bulkhead, couple of brackets back on and painted. Fuel lines have been run and finished, need to sort the wiring out in the boot for both fuel pumps etc..

oi! not fair he's a bald old man and I'm not! did I mention that you're too slow? comeon mr A., just the inlet plenum (anything special there?), pipework, connecting all the wires, OIL, water and firing up! Upsetting the neighbours (since it wont have a downpipe ) and off you go for mapping. Correct? One weekend max! V.

This ones mine - 325lb/ft equates to over 400Nm... http://www.tool-supplies.co.uk/sealey-tools.php/cPath/10_132/products_id/5658Dunno how you would tell it its done up tight enough though without a torque wrench. I used an old auxilary belt locked off when I did my MR2. Suppose you could leave it in gear, wheels on the ground & clutch to gearbox take up the strain? Would that slip the clutch though?

Yeah but unlike Beggers, you can fit it in the original position, you just need to chop off the two ends of the mounting bracket that are on the bottom (pipe connection side, the pipes join at the bottom just like OE) plus you need to make up some new hoses and join them to the pipes somewhere/somehow.

On the 20VT the easiest way is to put a long bar across a couple of bolts half in on the flywheel side and torque.
