Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone can help me out with a rough price guide for the Fiat Coupe LE / Plus model ranges please? The price of vehicles that I've seen on the web seems to vary considerably in the current 'credit crunch' market.

I'm contemplating getting one of the above but want to see what my budget will get me, if anything! (It has to be Speed Red but I'm assuming that this makes no difference to the price)

I'm obviously aware that mileage, condition, history and modifications make a difference to the price but by how much?

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Well as you say it varies, and really only you can tell yourself if its worth the money....

Japs one on the forum for example, may be at the higher end of the range at £5.5k but it looks mint and needs little or nothing doing to it.

Solo a seller on here are always costly, but then you get a warranty from a trader.

or you can buy a dog for £2k and shell out another £2k getting it right.

The choice is yours, a better way to look at it is to say what you budget is, and see what cars are in that budget, for me Japs would be at the top of the list smile

Hi JimO,
Thanks for the prompt reply and advice, my budget is a maximum of £3.5k which is a way off James' car unfortunately.

This is why I'm checking to see if it's worth me looking for one with my budget in mind.

I met with James a few weeks ago now to buy a race seat from him for my 20vt track car and it was his car which made me really want one!

I know the feeling, why is it budgets are always just taht little bit short laugh

All I would say at the moment is it is a buyers market, cars aren't selling, the credit crunch is settling in, people are looking to tighten up their money, so maybe there are offers to be made and bargains to be had. Cars aren't shifting very quickly, so maybe a cheeky offer here or there and you may see rewards....

Whatever car you see, make sure you check it over the history, condition, etc, you may grab a bargin smile

Hi Jube.

Mine is now priced at £4750 but I'm fairly flexible on that. You never know, I might be tempted if you make an offer

Someone could have a bargain (and it would be great for it to stay local).

James

are you sure you want an LE though?

You can pick up a good normal 20vt in red for your budget and then an LE kit on it.

Depends what you want the LE for.

depends if you want a six speed gearbox, some tasteful recaros, red brembos, colour coded wings mirrors, tail lights and petrol cap, strut brace and red paint on the cam cover (did I mention the darker alloys and side skirts.

Hi AlistairM,
I had thought about going that route but I just really fancy an LE.

Mainly because the car is just that little bit more special in my opinion for all the reasons sugerbear has highlighted in his post.

Forgot we have those bits laugh

6th gears not that great, it means when you drive a 5 speed ford car you keep crunching the gears looking for 6th and getting reverse blush

LOL - I do that every time I drive a 5 speed now. Thankfully, most of the other cars I drive now are 6 speed too...
