Well my manifold has started blowing slightly on start-up!! Is it wise to still run it, after a couple of mins it's fine, would it be just warm it up first????

Dave, i have been on rollers a couple of times with a leaky manifold. Get it warmed up first and it will be fine

Well, after getting my car mapped by Flea, it was running wonderfully until yesterday when the bloody clutch started slipping. A paddle clutch as well, i cant believe it, yet alone afford it!

May very well have to drop out of this unless i can miraculously get it done.

Will keep you updated but i'm provisionally out.

Probably leave a nice gap for Nigel's car!

Was really looking forward to seing how the old girl would perform post map as well

I think there are only 6 of the SXOC going for definite so there would a place for Nigel.
Edit: If you get it fixed in time even last minute there would be space to run it I think

There is a place in Leeds that does motorsport clutches, im pinning all my hopes on them being able to squeeze me in.

I think Ash_p is using one of there fast road clutches, and he's running over 300bhp.

Hopefully they can supply and fit for me

Hmmm, as you know it was slipping a bit on the day you picked it up On the positive side it only started slipping after the remap, likely a symptom of more torque. If you go for a CG clutch then make sure it is the competition clutch as the fast road won't last as long.

Leighton, it seemed to be ok, until saturday when i started to get masses of slip in any gear above 3rd.
Its all your fault for making my car run so well!

I have to admit I wasn't expecting it to go as i was told by the previous owner it had just been upgraded to a paddle clutch. Clearly not a very good one.

Its just the timing thats unfortunate as i was really looking forward to getting some figures.

Oh well, easy come, easy go.

@Johna, i also assume its a Fiat coupa on there website!!
