I can do that was but why should only the rear wheels be affected from a wrong ground?

longer cables, grit, dirt, small bits of metal, whatever on the rear wheel sensors? If it wont work, I'd remove the rear wheels and get to the sensor (I don't remember if the bolt keeping it in place is accessible from the outside, or if you need to remove the caliper/disk and the hub...) You can surely see how much crap is there without removing more than the wheel, and try cleaning it with petrol/carb cleaner/etc Good luck and plz report back as I'm probably going to start on this tomorrow V.

So i connected an extra earthing cable from the racelogic ecu to the chassis but the same!!From the graph it looks like the rear wheels arent performing as they should above 20KM.After that point for example the rear right wheel show over 150KMPH which of course isn't normal!!I tried to connect the sykes pickavant abs code reader and watch the components while driving but i conituisly freezes and exits this menu. What should i check next?I am going for a trip for 3 days in austria today and i won't be able to do anything on the car but any ideas would be helpful!!

Kenneth Mano, remove the rear right wheel, see what's happening with the sensor, try and remove it, clean it, clean the toothed wheel of various crap it must have. If it is clean, then it's a cable/sensor error I'd think. What did you use for splicing the cable? I'd use a soldering iron and do a proper connection as the cable length is longish and you may have interferences. Barnacle's opinion on this would be valuable V.

I soldered it as shown in the picture here http://members.shaw.ca/coupeboy/coupe/traction_control.htmlAnd disconnected everything yesterday night at 2.00am and connected everything again the same way but the same results!

SO i swapped the blue with the red racelogic cable just so check if the problem remains to the rear axle and it does!!So the problem isn't the racelogic ecu but it comes from the rear of the car.Speaking with racelogic they suggest to install 1K resistors on the racelogic cables that read signals from the rear in order to supress the signal.Maybe that fixes it but it is only maybe and that does not conviece me.The problem is that BOTH rear sensor are causing a problem NOT just one!SO it is unlikely that BOTH rear sensors are faulty! What do you suggest??They insist on a ground problem. How can i check it?

with difficulty I'm afraid...
Mano, try and check all possible ground points around where the ABS ecu and or sensors end (not dismantled mine yet, so I don't know if it's twin cable from each sensor to the ECU or if the one cable is earthed somewhere and only the other reaches the ECU. Can you clarify please?
Try the 1K resistors, nothing to loose (well maybe 20cent...) and let us know. Whatever it is, it's obviously not serious enough to affect the ABS, that's what I don't like/understand!

Just called Sykes Pickavant support about that freezing thing with ACR4 i reported before and they told me that when moving tha ACR4 it is not able to read components live because the fiat software installed in the ABS system doesn't allow it to do so.So only when the car is still i am able to check for any error codes, but there aren't any.Just wanted to double check if the ACR4 reads the same values from the rear axle as the racelogic software does.

I still find it hard to believe its the sensors, cause the racelogic is reading HUGE speeds, i am guessing if the sensors are faulty, then the braking will be affected as its sending completely rogue signals to the abs ecu

Do you think i should solder the injector connections and not use the plastic connector? Can that cause a problem since if the RL system is disabled the car works fine??

Mano,
You did clean the sensor, fine. Did you clean the toothed wheel where the sensor gets it's signal from? It's vital as loads of crap may be stuck there (That's the magnetic thing after all, iirc!)
Your welding is not very good (quite crap tbh) but should be OK for the job unless there's some dry joints.
The socket on 384 looks a bit corroded, use some wirbrush to clean it and electric contact spray on it.
You should be able to unplug the injector bypass and feed the injectors directly from the ECU. Still you should be able to use your laptop and see what speed the wheels are doing. Unless you sort out the speed, I cannot see what the Racelogic is going to do but missfire badly.
So clean the wheels, and test with Ohm meter the rear wheel sensor pulse when slowly/fast turning the wheel, and compare to a front wheel. No need to redo the welds, just get the Racelogic unplugged from the ABS cable and do some standing tests and report back.
Gets v.complicated but I still think it must be sensor /or cable problem. Else, you should come down here for quick visit and swap racelogic controllers and see... BTW, is it 40tooth we have or less?
V.

The tooth is not the problem. They were clean but i used also a toobrush and did a quick clean. As for the soldering issue i soldered and unsoldered it many times and still the fronts have same value alwys but the rear not.So it is not a soldering problem.I will talk with racelogic tomorrow and will ask them to replace the ecu.I will have to measure with an dmm the volt value directly on the rear and on the front abs sensors and find out if the have differnet reading at same speed over 25kmph or not.If not then the problem should be the racelogic system as if it was a problem with the abs system it would have thrown an error a long time ago i guess!!

So i called racelogic today again to talk about the problem. They insured me the problem is NOT their system (because i changed the racelogic wires going on the abs harness and the fault still remains on the rear wheels) but something on the car.One more way to check this is to find an oscillograph and measure the reading directly on the oem sensor cables and see if they are the same front and rear.if this test doesn't show any results i will send them the ecu and possibly the harness too to check it for fault.

So Racelogic contacted me this morning telling:
Good Morning Emmanouil,
We have now tested your traction control system but we could not find any fault with it, all the wheel speed inputs operated as expected and no unexpected signals were measured during the tests.
The completed fault report form is below, but if you have any questions relating to this return, then please ask.
Kind regards,
Mike Gale.
I don't know what to do next!!Any suggestions?
