A work colleague seeing my Coupe for the first time, walking upto it from the rear, said 'Man, it looks like a Ferrari!'
I have to say, I think the Coupe's rear is the best angle on it. The Ferrari-stlye taillights combined with the sharp squarey angles make it look rather futuristic.

Was jet-washing the Coupe a few weeks back to get rid of the road salt, with a guy and his young lad using the bay next to me. The young lad pops around to my bay, stares at the Coupe for a couple minutes and then says to his dad; "dad, come and look at the Ferrari!'

In a traffic jam the other day a bloke in a new Audi A5 was giving the car some admiring looks...I don't think he could quite believe a 10 year old Fiat could be prettier than the coupe he was driving!

Couple of months back I'd stopped for petrol somewhere on the A82 (Fort Augustus I think, hardly the metropolis anyway) and standing in line to pay overheard two kids in front of me arguing whether the car at pump 2 (mine) might be a Ferrari or a Porsche (?!) or a Lambo...
Kid #1 goes out to inspect the car and find the badge (which had dropped off at the time - now fixed) and kid #2 carries on talking to his (disinterested) Mum musing over all the possible exotic cars it could be. Stifling a chuckle I eventually put him out of his misery:
splateagle: (chuckling) "actually it's a FIAT" kid #2: (polite but bemused) "how do you know?" splateagle: "'cus it's mine." kid #2 (impressed pause) "nice car"
Got back out to the car to find my mate Liz wetting her self laughing at the first kid's baffled efforts to work out what she was sitting in. Apparently he'd done three complete orbits of the car scrutinising every inch and looking very puzzled.
Not the first (or last) bit of public gawping I've encountered with the car (whoever said Broom Yellow is the colour that grabs the most attention, you're dead right) but I think it's my favourite.

Lol I wonder if it was the same two kids i met while getting fuel in Fort Augustus a couple of months back too. I came out to find the pair of them looking at my Coop and one of them asked if he could take some photos as my car was "smart" . Baz

I had this a few times, actually.
Once a little boy came running as I was getting out of my car, yelling "Mister! Mister! You've got a Ferrari!".
Another time I saw about 5 kids with bicycles standing around my car, one of then on his belly looking below it. An older woman standing a few meters away, talking to them. I was fearing the worst (one of them might have hit it with his bike), so I went outside and asked what the problem was. She said they couldn't agree on what kind of car it was, so they were looking for any text on it that could help them find out. (she said "I told them it's a Ferrari, it is, isn't it? Is it yours?")
Another time I was driving through town with the windows down looking for a place to park and heard a boy say to his father: "Dad! Look! THAT is a real sportscar!"

I've been told I drove a Maserati once (my old speed pink n/a) by a bloke who should've known better at a petrol station (he was driving an 80s 911 turbo).

Some 'Coupe in public' moments:
Was in a car park waiting for my brother. Two lads were walking towards the car staring at it. One then slowly walked past, in front, carefully examining it, whilst at the same time the other lad walked past behind it, again looking carefully lol.
Then another time I was stationary at a roundabout. A car pulls up beside me and two guys inside were staring and nodding their heads in admiration.
Once, I was driving along and as you know the Coupe makes a nice growling sound- a pedestrian then imitated the sound loudly as I went past him lol.

I tend to find most folk know what it is but are truly amazed by the power it's got, even in standard trim.

I was coming down the m6 today and a young lad in the back of an audi was taking photos on his mobile, I felt a bit guilty as I haven't washed it for a week.

The broom yellow undoubtedly gets the most attention and smiles with it being yellow of course... That's a good point - I've been assuming the happy/friendly reactions mine gets are because the coop is just so pretty but maybe the colour has an impact too. Have yet to have anyone respond other than positively to mine in public, any of the other colours out there ever get bad reactions?

Oh I have had a bad reaction before. Long story short but coming back to the car, a few kids around. I can make out roughly what they are saying. "Wouldn't dare drive that around ********, if I saw that in our area I would smash it up. Smug bastards, cause they got some notes. Have to lord it over us." Obviously jealousy, ironic thing was, the car they were congregating around was worth more than my Coupe
