I know some peeps prefer "unmolested" coops, and others "moded". The question is......Well, i fancy a bit of modding,ie kit,gtec,exhaust,few other little bits lol but really not sure if having all the work done because of my location (end of world) is practical,so is it worth asking around here/ebay/swapz etc if someone wants to swop their modded one for my "original" one??? What we thinks?

i'd do it yourself so you know its done properly unless its someone you can trust thats had the work done properly to there's . gtec chip , k&n , boost gauge and dump valve are very easy to do yourself , the kit and exhaust is abit harder but can be done if you have the time and knowledge

its cheaper to get a car with it all done....but as nismo said, you cant be sure it was done to a good engine...and correctly

do it your self, very rewarding, and gives you a chance to get to know your car

Fair point, the real prob is like i say....location. I do have the option of the Fab Mr Country cruising,he is my closest contact so to speak...3 1/2 hours away !!! Maybe unmolested is best after all lol, i think its more a case of im lazy, and just want it done for me without the hassle lol. Maybe sell mine and buy a ready done one lol. Thanks

it depends how far you want to go. i did a chip guide for the 16vt, the 20vt isnt that different, there are some good guides for a EBV and a exhaust is something you can do...of get any one else in reality to do

there all stage 1 mods and can be easily removed. there are some good arguments for keeping the car stranded however
