I'm just looking for peoples opinions on this, I know in the end its my decision etc etc but I'd like to see what others think or if I'm being an idiot I've pretty much decided that I'm going to buy another coupe even though I already have one broken 16VT Due to only being 21 I can't get insurance on a 20VT so that leaves me with the 20V N/A or a 16VT (16V an option too but I prefer the 20V sound and it seems easier to pick up a 20V N/A rather than a 16V) I know in the performance stakes the 16VT is obviously much better but with that comes higher insurance and running costs. I can afford to run either but I would like to have some cash spare for repairs/choice upgrades. Also having owned my 106 rallye for nearly 2 years now I've realized that to me handling is more important than power and with the saved repair/maintenance/fuel costs of a 16VT I could afford to do a bit to help the 20V N/A's handling. N/A's seem in general to be more reliable and offer all the experience of owning a coupe bar the massive straight line speed. I want at some stage to own a perfect 16vt but having had a bad experience with mine already I'm inclined to go N/A until I can really afford to do it properly. So do I sound mental or just plain confused?

You sound fed up, not confused, what's up with your 16VT?

having had a 20v coupe, and a 16vt coupe
its a hard desesion and depends interiorly on its use.
if i had to use it for work, doing 10k a year on motorways ect, i would go for the silky smooth 20v n/a
IF i want a car that i can have a blast with at the weekends and do a few miles to work and back, nothing heavy
then the 16vt with out a doubt
the 20v is a great car, its still reasonably quick, better on fuel and looks just as nice, sounds nice as well
the 16vt snaps your head back on the spool....and thats a hard thing to forget
what i wouldnt want you to do is get a 20v and get fed up of how slow it is compared to your old 16vt
my coupe, and bravo 20v are quick, but pug 205's 1.9gti's and most hot hatches will be quicker
i couldn't have a 16vt again as my main car as it would require far to much upkeep to keep it on the road for the miles i do, thats why i got a 20v n/a

Well my 16vt never got much use as it was never well so I won't miss it It'll be my everyday car so practically is somewhat important. Thanks.
