Hello all,

Just wondering whether anyone could tell me whether an exhaust from an NA will fit on my turbo? Its the two box system from poweritalia (I have emailed Roger just in case he sees the email before I take the plunge )

Looking on eBay the likes of cybox etc seem to have only one exhaust for both the turbo and NA. Its a cat back aswell if that makes any difference.

Thanks all

Ben

I believe they are different, the flange on the cat differs.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

No the pipe sizes from the cat are the same but after that the diameter differs for the n/a system.

The cybox would be a better bet then an n/a system, it's stainless and only has a back box for that extra note, it's quite loud when first fitted but beds in a sounds great after a couple of weeks.

Does an NA exhaust have an extra baffle too? I know when I bought my PowerFiat exhaust that the NA version is slightly more expensive as it has the extra baffle due to the NA not having a turbo to deaden some of the sound.

How do you mean extra baffle Dan? both the standard Fiat systems have the same design middle and back box?

I know the diameter of the exhaust pipe from the middle box back differs between the two, it's 2.5" for the 20vt and 2" for the n/a, but they're both 2.5" where they fit to the cat.

I just checked and what I meant was the PowerFiat exhaust has an extra silencer box for the NA. I guess if you fitted this exhaust to a turbo then it's going to be quieter than the version designed specifically for the turbo.

Thanks all \:\)

Ok guys this is what I was on about \:\)

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k205/benje_01/DSCN1356.jpg

I've spoken to Roger (Who kindly took the time to reply to me today \:\) ) and he has confirmed it will fit. It is the two box system from Poweritalia, I think the Turbo system is a single box as Daniel mentioned. From the photos I think it's 2.5inch diamter all along, however it may be similar to the standard system like Joe describes.

Either way it has to be better than the standard system I have on at the moment \:\)

Cheers

Ben

Just to update this thread, Exhaust fitted like a dream, even managed to get the boys at ATS to fit it for me for £20! Probably because I had to give them a hand, as they refused to touch the handbrake cable \:\)

Definately louder than the standard system, but also seems about 50% lighter than the standard one I took off, that thing weighs a ton! Nice burble on tickover, driving to Liverpool tomorrow so will find out if it's bearable on the Motorway \:\) Seems quite deep up until the turbo is on song, then it seems to be not as loud as the engine up front!
