Woke up this morning and decided to go for a drive and enjoy the nice weather. Stopped off and got the car washed - brought it home and polished it.

The new paint job was looking lovely in the sun and i decided i may as well give the engine bay a bit of a clean.

Many Many Many hours later . . . (infact ive only just finished) . . . here is the finished product

I used turtle wax trim treatment for all pipe and plastics. (did most of this off the car) As for the engine it was standard. I have it a steam clean and then sanded it down using wet and dry paper. It looks better in the flesh - the lettering and cam cover are polished and the rest is matt.
Not bad considering i couldnt be botherd to remove it from the bay. laugh

Hmmm i put it like that because thats the way round the sticker was? Is it going to make much difference? I did try putting it the otherway round but i couldnt make it fit.... Its different to the turbo braces isnt it?

No i only steamed the rocker before sanding it down. I also steamed the air box but took it off the car. I used turtle wax rubber trim treatment for all plastic and rubber and wd40 to clean most of the metal and oily bits laugh

although it was long and cold! it was quite satisfying to see it after. and its amazing how good the rocker cover looks after a bit of a sanding down and polish!
