I have recently purchased (or in the process of) some much larger 630cc injectors and a 3.0 bar FPR which i'm hoping to fit early next week!
I'm currently running (or was) 440cc injectors with 3.8 fpr but have had major issues with leaking injectors so i've decided to opt for larger injectors with less pressure and am awaiting another custom map to suit this...

My question is... will i be ok to run the car on the current programme?? Safely?? while awaiting new map!
Surely if anything, it will be rich??

When i first installed the custom map and 440 injectors running at mo it was a little lean... prob due to the fact the fpr was the original 2.5 bar one!! (i thought the previous owner had installed 3.0 bar one.. wrong!)
Next i installed the 3.8 bar fpr and everything ran sweet for a couple of weeks but then i noticed a wiff of fuel so popped the bonnet and noticed injector leaking (one nearest to fpr!) grr
This has happened 6 or 7 times now and its a pig of a job getting to injectors and fpr on the 16vt !

So bigger injectors and less pressure from next week!Fuelling shouldn't be that far out...... surely?

My rr graph when running 440 injectors with 2.5 bar fpr (the red lines are current custom map)

I wouldn't - it will overfuel massively, causing borewash and engine wear

Wait until you're having it mapped, then fit the new injectors and FPR just before

I would not either. It will most likely be way out, so rich it may not even run properly

What about original injectors with 4.5bar fuel pressure?
I have direct replaced the original FPR with ECS adustable FPR and I would like to use 4.5bar fuel pressure.

Today I got back my original injectors. They were cleaned & balanced & tested with 4.5bar fuel pressure:
1. No leaks
2. Flow rate 444ml/min

no - the same thing will happen - it will overfuel (by about 50%)
