Recently I have been hitting 100% duty @ 5500rpm with the 440cc injectors at 3.8bar fuel pressure. This was running 1.95bar peak boost but having to use the Apexi to drop to 1.5bar at 5000rpm in order to keep the fueling in check until redline. No longer...

Stage 1.
Changed the crank sensor yesterday so the car can actually start.

Stage 2.
Install 580cc low impedance injectors with external peak and hold injector driver.

Stage 3.
Map car to full boost, that's 2bar peak holding 1.85bar at 7500rpm with fueling at 11.5 afr until redline.

Result
Well it was fast before, no question, but now...

There have been a few little modifications along the way to get to this point but at the moment she is just singing like a songbird \:\)

Extremely glad your enjoying the car again Leighton. Sounds like some interesting development work you've been doing too.

Good to hear you've joined the 2Bar club \:D
One can assume you’re not missing?
Is it still a standard ignition system or have you upped the 12V primary voltage?

No idea on power, will find out more at the end of the month. The turbo is a GT3076R with a ported shroud, makes it very smooth on part throttle boost (along with the green dump valve spring).

Still on the standard ignition system and obviously ecu. I get a slight missfire if I up the boost to 2.1bar so I have found the limit for now. I am also running a big MAF conversion, this gives much better airflow resolution when running high boost so it can be mapped for 2bar and 1.5bar without the fueling going too rich or lean \:\)

Mate.. why don't you throw out that maf sensor and go for map sensor..

630ccm injectors and stand alone ecu..

being that you know what you're doing, why not try to get dealership for something like VEMS or VIPEC or etc etc..
price range from 1000 - 2000 pounds, it would beat the hell out of Motec or any other expensive ecu's..

cheers and keep up the good work!

Well it was making 415bhp @ 5,800rpm a while back. That's with around 2,000rpm to go with soild boost to the redlin \:o

I'vw knocked up an excel sheet to have a stab at an estimate and I'm going with 510bhp \:\)

Awesome work Leighton \:\)

Scared any more 600cc bikes lately?

F****** b****** thing...

It is possible to drive the coils up to 16V on the primary circuit with the standard ECU that’s why I asked. You tried copper plugs yet? I've also found a set of coils from another car which might be quite useful if your coils begin to miss in the near future, just keep an eye on my coil thread.

GT3076R still internal WG?

Bet the torque is nice ;\) , I wonder how long the box will last. Interested to see a decent dyno graph. I would guess around 450WBHP if you can lay it down \:D
