I would be very interested in a carbon centre console. So many have said they are working on it but eventually nothing happens \:\(

its due to the expense on the carbon fibre and the £500 mould making price most companys charge

you have 2 options prepreg which involves using either a auto-clave or a vacuum and a oven the lighter option

depending on the grade of CF used anything from 200-500

wet lay up CF the heavier option around 200+

carbon aint cheap or for the yellow coupe owners i would go for kevlar its the same price as CF but its yellow

carbon cloth is britle and can easily b ripped carbon is only hard when heated or use with resin

Yes it can be done, I've talked to the boys today and they don't want to do it like that. Their looking at starting to supply at the end of this month.

Well get some prices before you start mate incase too expensive, i may be looking at having carbon bonnet from reverie done would be much cheaper on the group buy tho but would be serious interest only, looking at around £550

cant wait to see what they look like fitted.

i really really like the idea of this, but dont know if i would do it, because i love the coulour of my car (sprinty, the best coulour... \:P ) and like the fact this is represented in the cabin.

i think the grass would always be greener, in that if i fitted carbon ones i'd miss the blue too much, then refit the originals and want the carbon ones back!

Yeah that`s exactly what my problem would be with them,the carbon fibre looks great but the sprint blue really brightens up the dash and sets it apart from other cars .

the problem with the carbon center console is that there are 2 16vt and 20vt consoles when i get round to making a mould it will be for 16vt models as i have a 16vt lol
