I need help in trying to sell coupe, don,t know if over priced or what. need you opinions please. Thing is that i have a debt of 3grand and i am really strugging. I paid 2.500.00 for coupe in May 2007 on 93k and i've spent well over 2 grand on parts/mods/services. Going to purchase a smaller car while i pay off debt, don't want to lose the coupe but she has to go. any help would really be helpfull.
cheers everyone.

I agree with benny, it's awful I know and a lot of people won't accept how bad the prices have fallen. I've looked at very good coops for £1800-1900 and turned my nose up having seen better for the same money previously. It's a buyers market and if you have to sell then thats bad news, if you don't, just keep it, there is nothing out there that can hold a candle to the coop for the money. Sounds like you need to get rid though so you are at the mercy of the market. I've found that the cars that are kept to a good standard and kept as intended seem to be commanding the best money, and selling quickest, modded ones seem to be treated with a fair amount of caution in the current climate. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but having been looking for a coop for months now and viewing dozens, it's just a summary of what I've found recently. Please don't give it away though, if you can hang on, you'll get close to your price. It may take a while though!

thanks guys. not going to give her away. might go and part x if i get a good price and keep a lot of the modds and sell on. Petrol cost are killing me in the coupe and i'm having to drive her really slow cus of fuel. not going to rush into things so might just keep her going and she if things improve.

Petrol cost are killing me in the coupe What sort of driving are you doing in it, just around town or commuting a decent distance?

If you returned it to standard you'd not only make money on the mods but also have a standard(ish) car to sell. For example if the car as standard ish form is worth say £2.2k, you'd easily make more than £500 on the modified parts/ICE you have. Totally rough prices off the top of my head K&N + heatshield £60, Boost Controller £150, GTEC 1 £25, Baileys D/V £40, strut brace £50, all rings £?, HID's / sidelights £60, ICE = alot (not my thing), Boost Gauge + pod etc If you have a look here at Panic's 5th post you can see how much interest he has had for each item he's going to sell. It could be a way of getting more than you want for it, if you're prepared to remove a few easy items
