Any point in me doing one of these or is the lower subframe brace a better option ?

Yes, there is a benefit, but its small and the lower brace probably does more good

whatever you do, DO NOT fully seam weld it, or it'll probably warp, just stitch weld it along the edges & it'll be solid.

If you decide to fully seam weld it, you may have to restrain it in a jig to prevent warping, I recall Barbz never had his fully seam welded, but stich welded \:\)

Thanks for the info Taz, I was considering a jig just incase it warped but i'll just stitch weld it \:\)

Yes just stitch it Adam, I've welded a few subframes now and have never found any advantage of fully welded over stitched.
