As title really, i've just bought a less restrictive turbo elbow for my t34 turbo, and am also in the process of buying a full blue flame exhaust system off another forum member, which is 2.5" system straight through!
So the prob is how do i mate the 2 together...?? hopefully it is do-able??

I would just say get the end of the exhaust pipe flaired out to 2.75 on an exhaust pipe machine

Without seeing it I can't really picture it but what is the turbo end of the exhaust like? - is it a weld joint? a v clamp? a 3 bolt flange etc

BTW - if it's a 2/3 bolt flange just get the right size to match up to the elbow, cut the one off the blueflame, get the pipe flaired at the end of the blueflame and weld the new flange on

Should abe a 10-15min job for an exhaust shop if that

not sure sure as not got it yet matey??
i just assumed it would be like the standard down pipe is??
Dont even know what a v clamp is??
If it is the same as standard then will i still be able to flare it out?? sure i'd have to remove the flange, then flare, then re weld??

well the dp is a scara one isn't it? so you don't want to cutting that up laugh

The blueflame, at the turbo end will likely be a flange to mate up to the standard DP so it will have the OE flange (oe front pipe is 2.5inch but it is double walled so it is really 2inch inside)

Anyway, basically you need to get the flange that matches the downstream end of the scara DP and get the end of the exhaust modified to suit - should be easy enough TBH

When you get them if it doesn't look straight forward just put up some pics but I think it will be easy to sort

I was talking to blueflame the other day and they told me that the full system was 70mm in diameter, but if you were just getting the catback it was 63mm. I'd check with them or the guy you were buying it off that he has the right dimensions. maybe they used to make full system in 63mm but a phonecall could save you an awful lot of hassle
